About

Meet Dr. Beth Moran

Dr. Beth Moran, DNP, RN, NE-BC, brings more than 26 years of nursing experience and more than 23 years of progressive nursing leadership experience to Nurse Leadership Advisory.

Her leadership career was built from the frontline up.

Portrait of Dr. Beth Moran, DNP, RN, NE-BC

Beth began her career in direct patient care and spent approximately 10 years as a Charge Nurse on a 32-bed medical-surgical, telemetry, and hospice unit.

That experience gave her a firsthand understanding of what it means to lead without yet holding the formal manager title—coordinating care, supporting staff, managing competing priorities, responding to clinical issues, and becoming the person others look to when decisions need to be made.

Her leadership experience has extended well beyond a single nursing unit.

As an off-shift administrative leader, she held responsibility for nursing care and patient safety across hospital operations, including staffing, bed assignments, resource allocation, patient relations, and service recovery. She also served as a Nursing Supervisor at a 305-bed Magnet-designated Level II trauma hospital, functioning as an off-shift hospital administrator.

As an Assistant Nurse Manager, Beth oversaw a multidisciplinary healthcare team of approximately 70 professionals while managing daily clinical operations including staffing, payroll, quality management, and patient satisfaction.

As a Patient Services Manager in geriatric psychiatry, she led a team of approximately 50 healthcare professionals while managing the complex clinical, operational, employee, quality, and patient-care responsibilities of an inpatient behavioral health environment.

She understands both sides of the leadership interview table.

She also understands the progression many aspiring nurse leaders are trying to make— because she made it herself.
